Born in a small village outside of Avellino, Italy, Aldo and Fernando Calabrese began their apprenticeship at an early age under their father, Attilio. Teaching the importance of integrity, dedication and passion furthered their artistic workmanship. Attilio’s journey began as a gardener, tending to palatial estates in France, Germany and Switzerland. It was there that he developed his skills and love for his craft. In 1967 Attilio relocated his family to Port Washington, bringing his distinguished skills to the United States. Combining Old World craftsmanship with innovative designs, Attilio brought his visions to life.

Fernando found his love & skill in masonry design and installation. He is truly an artisan, bringing some of the most unique and captivating designs to existence. Whether beautiful new entryways, cascading waterfalls or an outdoor television placed within your retaining wall that hydraulically lifts and rotates 360º, he believes that the possibilities are endless. His commitment to quality and workmanship guarantees all clients the opportunity to enjoy their investments. He values his reputation as one of the finest masons on the North Shore.

Aldo developed his passion for landscaping at an early age. Working with his family’s business by day, Aldo pursued and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at St. Johns University at night. His is committed to continuing his education in horticulture & environmental aesthetics. This enables Calabrese & Sons to maintain its cutting edge position regarding residential and commercial landscaping.
